Palermo has a surface municipal 158.8 Kmq. Located on the homonymous gulf, called the Conca d'Oro, bounded by a magical setting, embellished by extensive orchards inland from the coast with many coves and unspoilt. The best time to visit Palermo is the spring when the orchards are covered with flowers, and the summer when many vacationers flock along its beaches.
Palermo's main monuments are: Cuba, Fontana Pretoria, Castello della Favara or Maredolce, Palazzo Abatellis, I, which houses the National Gallery of Sicily, Piazza Vigliena, Torre Pisana.
The most important museum of Palermo are: Museo Internazionale delle Marionette, Chinese house, Fondazione Mormino Archaeological Museum, National Archaeological Museum.
